This blog started off as a blog, now its more of a public notebook. As far as what you might expect to find, mostly theology or fiction, with the only unifying theme being that whatever is written is whatever Ive been thinking about lately, although not nearly as personal as a journal. More just a collection of random, excess thoughts.
As for the title – a pensieve is the storage device for excess thoughts that Dumbledore used in Harry Potter.
Dumbledore: “I use the Pensieve. One simply siphons the excess thoughts from one’s mind, pours them into the basin, and examines them at one’s leisure. It becomes easier to spot patterns and links, you understand, when they are in this form.“
Harry: “You mean… that stuff’s your thoughts?“
Dumbledore: “Certainly.“
In the same way I hope this is a helpful place for myself and others to look back and note the progression of ideas, and see why certain things developed in me the way they did.
I also hope this is a place for me to empty my ideas in an effort to revisit them later, when I have more time to flesh out the details and implications.
All this being said, its more for me than for anyone else, but if you do stumble across this site, I hope you enjoy it.
